Miss Julia Scurry, county superintendent, received unanimous praise from teachers who adopted resolutions lauding her leadership and urging continued service in the coming year.

Seventeenth Reunion of the 32d Iowa Infantry
The 32d Iowa Infantry held its seventeenth annual reunion in Eldora with 36 to 38 veterans, many with wives, attending at the Presbyterian church. Program included welcomes from city officials and G A R, recitations, and an address by Rev. Barselow. A noon Baptist church dinner followed. a telegram from W V Allen caused a postponement. An open hospitality resolution praised host churches, the Baptist Aid Society, and individuals for the reunion's success.

Woman's Club hosts 1909-10 calendars at Ellsworth home
Mrs. E. A. Ellsworth entertained the Woman's Club in the Fourth ward Thursday afternoon with refreshments and the distribution of new calendars for 1909-10. Calendar committees were Mrs. Hattie E. Diehl, Mrs. Adelaide L. Robb, and Mrs. Ellsworth. Rev. J. F. Black and family from Grundy Center visited Eldora briefly Wednesday evening before traveling to Albion for an Epworth League convention program.
