Two days remain for candidates to gain votes as contest standings can shift. ads have boosted trade townwide benefitting merchants and readers alike. L T Kersey made a flying trip to our city last week. The Quaker City band furnished music at Clemons Saturday. L B Waldo and family attended the Clemons celebration Saturday. F L Tansey and wife visited from Conrad Sunday. Joe Blair and wife visited their daughter Mrs John Mohler Saturday night. Mrs Leslie Witmer of Iowa Falls visited her parents. Several from here attended quarterly meeting at Honey Creek. Mrs Oscar Bunker left for Wisconsin to visit relatives. Mrs Oscar Greene visiting Des Moines with brother Frank Sprague. James Waldo and wife attended the Clemons celebration and stayed over with daughter Mrs Frank Tucker. The speaking planned for Honey Creek grove was held in town. It was a damp day for a picnic. Mrs H C Madden of Omaha, visiting, left for Winterset to visit her brother Dr J W Bunker and then home. her father Oscar Bunker accompanied as far as Winterset.
