The note invites neighbors to trial two weeks and mentions a big honey sale at 1c per pound and 12c at Fannon's as a closing flourish.
Special to Dubuque Times reports Eldora Iowa hosts Baron Heinrich von Reitzenstein a member of an ancient German noble house. Born 1877 the baron trained in Berlin and served in South Africa before decades in America. He has edited a Toledo reform paper and taught languages in Marshalltown and Eldora while pursuing work over sport travel and normal life in Iowa. He briefly went to Liscomb but is safe and plans to return to Eldora.
On Wednesday evening January 13 1904 Rev George B Shoemaker united S H Rathbone of Red Oak Iowa and Mrs F M Syverson of this city in marriage at the bride’s parents home Eldora. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride’s close friends. They will soon depart for their Red Oak home.

Next Sunday evening at 7 30 the M E church choirs with Messrs Moser Murray Ward under J T Humphries will present The Holy Infant a sacred cantata for soprano contralto tenor baritone and bass solo voices. The cantata features five episodes from scripture and hymnals. Congregational notices of building on the Rock and gospel delivery.
