Missing Hubbard farmer Henry Broer leaves family worried

Henry Broer, 56, owner of a 160 acre farm three miles northwest of Hubbard, has been missing since January 14 after a dispute at the local Lutherian church. His wife and large family, aided by friends, fear foul play though he carried $114 when last seen. a search spans from Hubbard to Alden and Tama City as authorities confirm he vanished while en route to visit a former pastor.

Sudden Death of Mrs Lara Furmin Ibach

Mrs Lara Furmin Ibach, wife of Frank Ibach of Hust Side, died suddenly at the home of her sister Mrs Work in this city on Thursday afternoon February 12. Aged about 60, she had come for a visit and fell ill with pneumonia. Funeral at M E church at 2 PM conducted by Rev E Curless of Whit ten. She leaves husband three sons a brother and sister in this city.

Lincoln J. Carter drama The Darkest Hour played Tuesday night at Wisner Opera House to a fair house and partial praise. main draw was the railway train explosion scene. Charles A. A P Wilson, city real estate agent aged 43, was surprised at home by his wife Mes who arranged a two course dinner and invited Dr Gethman Jule Landis W S Beman Dr and Mrs Stewart L B Tucker W E Rathbone and others. Games followed and all declared the evening a grand success.

Surprise Birthday Party for Miss Euretta Henderson

Miss Euretta Henderson was surprised Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. John Steely by about 16 girls. Prizes were awarded for best pig on cardboard and for most correct answers in guessing advertisements. A luncheon followed and gifts were presented to Rett by the group.
