Fire Destroys Ingles & Co Grain Elevator at Cambridge
A mysterious blaze levelled the Ingles & Co grain elevator in Cambridge Indiana as a new third story had just been added. The frame building, designed to hold 15 000 bushels of grain, burned rapidly with insurance covering about half the 15 000 dollar loss. Firefighters faced a stubborn blaze as grain smoldered for days, with total damages estimated at 15 000 dollars split about 10 000 for building and machinery and 5 000 for grain.
