The steamer Sheldon ran ashore near Lorraine, two men drowned, crew clings to stern, tug Walter Metcalf sunk, Wisconsin stranded, and local salvage efforts underway as damage tallies rise across Cleveland Detroit Buffalo Erie and Menominee areas.
