Woman Killed by Missouri Pacific Train in Yard Beheading
Mrs. Fred Thompson, about 25, was walking along the Missouri Pacific main line in the yards when a train backing toward Otterville washout struck her. The car and engine tender passed over her, severing her head and mangling an arm. Eyewitness Conductor Richardson reported she appeared excited after warnings to step off the tracks. The body and head were recovered. coroner notified. inquest planned at 5 pm. Survived by a husband employed at the Pacific shops.
