Funeral services for Daniel Cooper were held at his residence at 501 North Prospect Street at 2 pm led by Rev. J. C. Givens of the M E Church South of Slater. Cooper, a Kentucky native born October 1 1839, served in Duke's regiment during the Civil War and held public posts in Sedalia. He is survived by his wife and one son.
