Case of E White and Adams felonious assault on trial

The court cleared the docket with the State v E C White set for Friday after a new bond of 500 was posted. Lillie Adams charged with felonious assault faced trial with a knife attack on Officer Fred Robertson during transport to jail. A jury was seated including Wm Day and 11 others as proceedings opened.

Court fines for lewd and lascivious conduct in city court

In Judge Kinsie's court Stella Mills Maggie Sims and Laura Smith were fined 1 and costs for lewd conduct. Lee Easterwood and Alice McKinney were fined 1 and costs for lascivious conduct. Fred Younker and Earl Schupp were fined 1 and costs by Judge Rogers for a disturbance near the New York Poultry and Egg company on West Main Street with Roberts right as the complaining witness.

E H Shaw in Jail After Bond Refusal

Yesterday afternoon E F Cain who had acted as bondsman for E H Shaw the barber accused in a statutory reported incident refused to remain on his bond Shaw was jailed. Cain declined to discuss the matter stating he had reasons but would not make them public.

Death of Dr John Dunkin Osteopath in Sedalia

Dr John Dunkin aged 35 died at his mother's Arlington Heights home after a year long consumption. He had moved to Sedalia eighteen months ago from Memphis Missouri where he studied and began practice. Survived by mother two sisters Ester Jennie and brother Robert. Funeral at First Methodist Church with Rev S B Martin and Rev F O Fannon. music by Mrs W D Steele. Interment in city cemetery.

Burial of Leonard Bouldin at East Broadway Church

Rev. F. L. Cook led funeral services for Leonard Bouldin at East Broadway Christian church this afternoon. The church and grave services were well attended by High School pupils and cadets. Military honors followed the regular rites with firing at the valley. Pall bearers were members of his old High School class.

School Board to Discuss Broadway School Bonds

At tonight s meeting the board will consider building a new school on the Broadway site and possibly asking voters to approve bonds. The proposed amount is estimated between 30 000 and 40 000 dollars.
