George G Vest Jr son of Senator West of Missouri was found dead in his Columbia hotel room. A cabman brought him to the hotel about 6 pm and the night clerk put him to bed. He died by 5 am from convulsions caused by acute gastitis.
L M Monsees received word Thursday of the accidental death of his brother-in-law Enoch E Chamberlain at Stroud Oklahoma. Chamberlain once resided in this area and trained the noted mare Limestone Bell. Monsees departed for Stroud to attend the funeral.
Judge Longan of Pettis county recalls George G. Vest Jr a roommate at Missouri University and in Sedalia. Ex Governor Crittenden notes Vest as a bright boy born in Pettis County and educated at the state university. Judge Phillips recalls Vest as genial witty and erratic with a marriage to Agnes Wheeler and several children. Vest Jr served as an inspector in European consular offices and later as clerk of the Senate committee chaired by Senator Vest.

Mrs Nancy Durrill aged five years? The text notes a Misspelling. obituary states a Pettis County pioneer, native of Kentucky, died at 12:30 in Sedalia at her daughter Mrs L Black’s home. Survived by children Mrs L Black Mason and Milton Durrill brother N B Goodnight sister Mrs E Fuller. Funeral plans pending arrival of sons.
Santanelli reopened last night to a good sized audience with pictures in the fire the baby act and roller skating praised as highly amusing. Tonight the donkey suspender in mid air held by a cataleptic subject is billed as the highlight with further shows tonight and Saturday and a matinee. Richard and Pringles Georgia Minstrels visit Friday November 14 as Denver’s first genuine Black minstrel show in months opens at Curtis. The revue features Lankford and Tolliver as end men the hoop juggling and Will Shields slack wire act and ends with Bonomer’s Morocco acrobats.
Miss Ollie Brown hosts the Adagio club on West Seventh Street for an afternoon of cards. Prize winnings include a gold pin for Miss Pearl Baird and a fancy hat pin for Miss Nell Davis. Refreshments of lobster salad potatoes crackers and coffee are served. The club will meet next week with Miss Mary Curran.
T Miller, former Prudential superintendent in town now leading a New York district, known as the insurance king. He led eleven districts by 75000 in a recent contest and wrote 304500 in a week. He married Miss Maybell Sampson of this city. Lacy Sampson works under Mr. Hillis.

Rev W T Allan invites Rev Samuel Freuder to speak at Sunday school 9:30 to 10:50 on topics including differences Orthodox and Reformed, spread of Christianity among Jews, Sinai to Cavalry, Biblical articles still used by Jews, and the role of the phylacteries. The talk aims to instruct and attract all city residents.
A train derailment of four of five cars between Pleasant Green and Clifton City occurred just after midnight causing a six hour Katy traffic suspension.
The Ladies of the Sacred Heart Church hosted the first euchre party in a series of five at Sacred Heart Hall. Twenty five tables drew a large crowd. guests received numbered tickets and the winner of number eight, Mr. L. Sullivan, won a box of stationary. Prizes will be awarded after all five games. The next club meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday evening.
Miss Ella Moore of Warrengburg arrives this afternoon to be guest of Miss Arline Phipps. On Saturday she will be guest of honor at a dance at the Assembly hall hosted by the city’s young society.
The Primary and Junior S S Teachers Union will meet each Saturday at four in the Rest Rooms. A normal lesson is given and the lesson for the Sabbath is taught. All S S Teachers are urged to attend these meetings.
Fire crews found no blaze after a 1:30 PM report from the McVey home at 7th and New York Avenue. The mother of Mrs. McVey tried to smother a small gasoline stove flare caused by oil overflow, her apron catching fire. she sustained a burn on the hand.
