Last night’s ward meetings produced a sweeping victory for Dr. W C Overstreet over Capt E W Stevens with tentative Monday convention backing. Delegates and officers were chosen across four wards with Overstreet to be urged for mayor and related city posts.
An event announces bockwurst on Saturday night at the Grand and lunch at Pehl's Fulton Market Bar. The text also mentions a class of people injured by coffee and notes a recent placement of small items.

Mrs. Robert Shy of West Third street died after a paralytic stroke as she rode home in a buggy from her daughter’s house. The 56 year old widow leaves eight children and was a respected Cumberland Presbyterian. Funeral plans follow from her Sedalia residence Monday led by Rev. S. D. Logan.
The case of Wm. Coockman charged with assault is on trial in Judge Arnham's court this afternoon. The Sedalia Water and Light Co. vs T. F. Mitchum trial continues today. The Sweeney versus Metropolitan Street Railway damages suit was continued.
Rev J B Jones who leads the Fulton Orphans School will occupy the pulpit of Rev J S Myers for both the morning and evening services. He is to preach at 10 45 a m and 7 30 p m.
Local milliner Potter offers a hat priced at two dollars and fifty cents praised as the best in town and beyond. The item draws praise for quality and price, positioning Potter among preferred milliners for fashion minded customers.
Mr Walter Dobbin who has conducted The Fashion for over a year traded his stock of goods for a fine farm near Paris Missouri. The goods will be moved to Paris at once where the trader has a store. Mr Dobbin, a popular Sedalia merchant, has not fixed his new location.

C Y Strite gathers cornstalk canes for Omaha exposition from Southwest Missouri. Maine plot and Spanish officer involvement discussed as inquiry proceeds. Diverson of relief by Miss Clara Barton noted as Consul General Lee meets Capt Gen Blanco.
