The Katy railroad carmen seek a conference with company committees this month after shops in Sedalia closed amid a lockout like situation. Current pay scales are 17 ½ to 22 ½ cents per hour. Santa Fe recently agreed to a 17 to 30 cent range, prompting expected demand for higher wages on July 1. Managers: Wigton Doyle O Herrin and Allen. a new schedule may be modified at the meeting.
