Andrews tried to open a Sedalia branch but fled after exposure by a Clinton paper.
A two year old son of Mrs Walter Cummings of Denison Texas, visiting here, is very ill. The note reports his sudden illness within twenty minutes and mentions a price of ten cents for a headache remedy.
John Bowman a wood chopper was jailed for fifteen days by Judge Rogers after pleading guilty to assaulting Albert Smith a small colored boy with a stick of wood in the Gold block area. Bowman once owned a Missouri farm and sawmill and may be sent back to the Pettis county home. A telegram to Ferdinand Yost reported his son Will Yost in Colorado dying.
