Robbery Suspect Arrests in Cooper County Saloon
A Cooper county man calling himself Ed Sherley told police he was knocked down and robbed behind a Main street saloon. He said William May and an associate robbed him of about $6 in cash and a nickel plated watch. May was arrested by Officers Eckhoft and Newbill. William Boyd was later arrested on information from Constable J A Robb. Boyd said May struck Sherley but denied a true robbery occurred. Both men were arraigned before Judge N H Rogers with preliminary set for Thursday at 2.
