The week of prayer services at Broadway Presbyterian Church has attracted large attendance and will continue all of next week. A chorus will participate and the pastor Rev. L. P. Cain is elated by the evident spirit among the congregation.

Miss Kate Neal's alleged abductor Joseph C. Johnson, jailed in Missoula for adultery, faces a new delay after his lawyers secured a writ of habeas corpus from the Montana Supreme Court. The writ, returnable before Judge Brantley in Anaconda next Tuesday, challenges a Saline county warrant and asserts Johnson was in Montana and not a fugitive.

Two men snatched a dummy dressed in a fine overcoat from the Model clothing company front yesterday afternoon. Harry Weill of the firm chased to Main street pawn shops and Patrick's store, where he identified the coat with two men. While he summoned an officer the thieves fled and the coat vanished.
The Sentinel reports the Sicher hotel will be enlarged in spring with 102 new rooms. Plans show a $100 000 building cost and substantial furnishings spend. DeWitt's Witch Hazel salve is advertised for skin issues.
Lee Curtis aged 35 was killed yesterday while stripping coal five miles northeast of Knobnoster when an embankment collapsed on him. He leaves a widow and four children in destitute circumstances.
Miss Marian Olive Hanson explains how she, a Minneapolis business college graduate, began working for Ignatius Donnelly, grew to love him, and accepted his proposal. The Pettis County Court awarded Keck and Dickman of Sedalia the contract to make and place the judge's stand clerk's desk and witness stand in the new courtroom. The firm previously completed the Science Hall Commercial Bank and many drug stores. Their bid was the lowest submitted and the county is pleased with their work.

C S Rooks a former Steele City Baptist preacher was sentenced to four months in Pueblo county jail for unlawfully living with Mary Johnson once his Nebraska flock. Charitable women in Pueblo secured a suspension in Miss Johnson's case and will return her home.
