Attempted murder on train near Muskogee shocks riders
On a Missouri Kansas Texas train near Stringtown Oklahoma Territory a man drew a revolver and shot J. E. McDonald in the back as the train pulled out. McDonald, a Katy pump repairer, was fatally wounded and taken to Sedalia hospital with critical condition. the shooter died by his own hand leaving letters to Maria Raira and a long knife found on him. The body was moved to Denison.
