Capt R T Hazzard U S A veteran of World War I and the Philippine insurrection, registered as B A Davis of San Francisco, died by self-inflicted gunshot in his room at the Hotel Butler Boise between 3 30 and 10 am Saturday. Detectives had linked him to forged checks in Seattle and Portland and learned of his alias after a conference with Byrne agency. A telegram from his wife claimed his identity and noted possible insanity. He is believed 40 to 45 years old.
Secretaries of commercial organizations across Washington pledged mutual cooperation to build up the state during a dinner at Blancs cafe after Bremerton’s two day annual session. President Robert B. Boyna of the Seattle chamber stressed that if one community suffers, the whole state suffers.
