At Trenton on the Pennsylvania line two work trains collided eight miles above the city. Seven are dead and eight more likely dead, with about 90 seriously injured. A special救 train with surgeons and nurses was dispatched as rescue efforts began to recover bodies entombed in wreckage.
A devastating blaze in Aberdeen leaves four dead and more than twenty injured as flames engulf a three story rooming house used by single men. David Morgan was arrested by Patrolman Griffith on a charge of stealing a suit of clothes from John Olesen on Grant Street car. A Bible and a prayer book were found in his pockets at arrest, linking him to the prior theft.

Information filed in the superior court yesterday charges R. A. Howard a cook aboard the steamer Arrow with assault with intent to murder William P. August 12. In a quarrel Howard threw a meat cleaver at Dodge during the incident.
