Kansas City May 2 Judge McAuley remitted a 500 dollar fine on Mrs Carrie Nation for obstructing a labor lab scene saying the fine and his speech were pre arranged for mutual advertising. Nation is free to return to Kansas City and the judge is jeered for the admission.

Burglars broke into the Cow Butter shop at 1913 First Avenue last night stole several dollars from the cash register. Access gained by forcing the back door. A large Jimmy tool used by the burglars was found in the store this morning by the proprietor.

In Champoeg Oregon on May 2 the fifty-eighth anniversary of the first territorial government was observed with the unveiling of a monument to the 62 men who voted for territorial organization. Fr. X M. Matthieu, the sole survivor, unveiled the shaft as Governor Geer Rev. I K Hines and Hon J W Beott delivered remarks.
