United Press reports a confused sequence of names and dates as a woman detective freed after confessing to a robbery. The piece mixes boxing references and Reno training plans for Jeffries, Langford, and other fighters with uncertain details and dates.
Grace Kingsley a private detective for Vanderveer confessed to stealing 200 from James Cross after he was drugged. Maud La Blanche was named as participant. Bank clearings and balances reported for Tacoma today show 1,045,091.00 in total clearings and 56,893.00 in balances, with daily totals of 2,770,260.00 in clearings and 487,281.00 in balances. Spokane’s figures list 974,679.00 in clearings today and 130,503.00 in balances.
A letter from J Cairns pastor emeritus Fremont Baptist church praises Sheriff Hodge calling him honest and faithful. Cairns, age 87, writes he voted for Fremont and Lincoln and hopes to vote for Hodge again, urging a large victory and offering a meeting at their home.
Mrs Jennie C Bull sues Harry E Bull of Bull Bros printers for divorce on desertion and cruelty claiming he abandoned home and abused their children from prior marriages. They married September 16 1902 and three children exist. A restraining order bars disposal of Seattle assets and alimony of 360 per month plus division of property is sought.

Frank Shaw a Bellingham merchant died of heart failure shortly after saving himself from a passenger train at Blanchard. He had preached in town, rushed to catch a train, and collapsed on the tracks moments before impact. The report notes snow in Massachusetts for June and a light fall in Washington state.
Harold Stimson, son of mill owner Fred E Stimson, struck and injured Robert Lovee 22 a P I carrier on Second Ave in front of the Arcade building at noon Lovee stepped from a car with top up obscuring his view Stimson stopped fast but the front wheels passed over Lovee He received treatment from Dr Harry Shaw and was not severely injured Patrolman Gray arrested Stimson who was later released on recognizance Lovee lives at 4224 Eighth Ave NE Providence Hospital treated him after emergency care.
Ward Harris, a leading South district candidate for county commissioner, withdraws to keep his 20 year job. He backs M. L. Hamilton and says he will support him, while not actively campaigning but urging friends and supporters to back Hamilton. He cites business reasons and notes district opposition to the old ring.
