Coroner W H Carson investigates the death of Harmon Westbloom a 55 year old jitney driver who died after a Sunday night car crash near Hobart Creamers siding. Westbloom his brother A Westbloom and two friends Oscar Johnson and William Lundgren were in the car which overturned after hitting a stump. Westbloom died in Providence hospital from a crushed neck.
Detroit officials of the Hudson-Essex Motor company announced a third price reduction this year. Reductions range from 420 to 705 dollars.

She eyeing a dapper man in a gray suit, while her thoughts drift to the shabby room at No 6 Acacia Terrace and a pending walk home. Employment departments of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars may unite to seek jobs for hundreds of unemployed ex soldiers. They aim to convince employers to hire white citizens now in Japanese positions. The VFW employment committee will meet Thursday night at Roosevelt hall to consider the merger. John T. Egan chairs the meeting. The Legion is expected to invite the VFW to join. There are about 200 unemployed ex service men in the post with many dependents.
Representative Huddleston charged the Erie railroad with forming a fictitious corporation to take over its Marion Ohio shops to evade the Esch Cummins labor provisions. He told the House Interstate Committee on the railroad bill that many railroads openly disobey the labor system.
The American delegates at the disarmament conference are urged to push for open sessions. Senator Pat Harrison of Mississippi proposed an amendment to the $200,000 expense bill in the Senate, directing dedication to transparent proceedings.
William Hightower, held for the alleged murder of Father Patrick Heslin, collapsed in his Redwood City jail cell. Officials said his nerves are shattered and expect a confession.

Richard Vega, 21, allegedly told Seattle police he cracked the Southwestern Dairy Co. safe in Los Angeles recently to clear innocent men. He was arrested at Second Ave and Yesler after arriving in Seattle. Los Angeles authorities have been notified and extradition is expected.
