Drowned in Slough Near Lake Washington

George B. Cliff, 30, superintendent for the Northern Pacific railroad Beattie division, drowned while inspecting a new bridge near Bothell. His body was found in Swamp Creek slough after a search by 25 men, with clues including a lone canoe and overturned boat. He lived at 1417 East Howell Street, Seattle, leaving a wife and daughter.
