Booneville officials say 17 year old William Deffendoll confessed to fatally harming his widowed mother Laura Deffendoll 80. The body was found severely harmed in a woods near the Deffendoll home at Hellman two weeks after she vanished.

Mrs. Steepy's condition improved by Monday and bystanders assisted after the struggle.
