St Petersburg reports nearly sixty Europeans and Americans killed by Chinese mobs on the Manchurian border. In the past days about twenty were slain in a clash near the frontier as authorities plead for reinforcements to restore order and curb the brigands.

Detective Frank Kennedy returned from Deer Lodge with Edgar Marshall alias Blacke, sought for a murderous assault on Chauncey Isham, and Marshall was held until Kennedy’s arrival after finishing a term.
The funeral for Daniel Hogan, who died by his own action Sunday night in his St James hotel room, was held this morning at 10 in the Bonney-Watson chapel. A draft on the Scandianavian bank and other money from his effects were found. Hogan’s son William Ladd of Foster, Montana, was notified but did not attend.
