Terribly Burned In Washington Street Restaurant Fire
Jas J Miller a cook at a Washington street restaurant was fatally burned this afternoon in the St Paul house on Second avenue near Main. Smoke poured from his room as flames reached clothing and a closet. He was taken to police headquarters and treated by Dr McKechnie, who said his injuries were probably fatal. The accident traced to a lamp upset while Miller curled his moustache.

A collision occurred on the waterfront this morning between the steamer Homer and the brigantine Blakeley. Both vessels suffered damage.
