Damaged Steamer Homer to Be Repaired at Moran’s Wharf
The steamer Homer, a principal in yesterday’s collision at fiehwabacher dock, anchored at Moran’s wharf and will likely be hauled out for repairs in a few days. The bow timbers are splintered but the seams below the waterline remain intact. After repairs the Homer will sail to San Francisco. Carpenters work on the brigantine Makeley repairing starboard bow woodwork. no dry dock needed. Her officers expect the Dinkeley ready to sail within a few days.
