Fred Klyver of Polk County was kicked by a horse while attending to chores at a farm near SALPM Oregon. He was found by his wife near the stall with fatal head injuries after the horse struck him between the eyes. He died in Salem that afternoon.

The board order will go to Chief Redd to clear streets of houses. The steamer Origaba sailed for Skagway with 110 passengers. Funeral services for Wesley Young were held at Penney & Stewart's chapel. The Elks supervised the service and floral tributes were plentiful.
Anna Hannan sues Carrie Thing in superior court alleging a co partnership to run the Savoy hotel on First avenue. Hannan claims she invested 2415 and Thing 615 with 370 to come from first proceeds, and seeks a receiver and restraining order as funds are allegedly diverted.
