Scottsdale council okays lease tax on commercial property
Scottsdale city council voted to continue taxing leasing of commercial property and redefined home occupation exemptions to simplify licensing. A one percent sales tax will still apply to income from leasing commercial property, with some properties exempt under new rules. The meeting also approved bids for recycling land lease, airport improvements, container procurement, curb and gutter work, and a 15 acre rezoning for a 33 unit apartment project.
