Long-awaited Hopi postal station opens October fourth
Scottsdale’s third postal station, the McCormick Ranch Hopi station at 8790 Vid de Ventura, opens Oct. 4 to serve northeast Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and areas north of Chaparral Road. It will employ about 58 staff, run four service windows, and offer weekday box service from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with 350 boxes and potential expansion. Carriers will use Pima Road to speed deliveries, reducing daily travel by at least 100 miles, with limited post-6 p.m. hours due to vandalism risk. The project faced multiple delays but now moves ahead under Karl Hall new Hopi manager, replacing Papago station head Rolland Marlow.
