Scottsdale builder George Hinton dies at 68
George W. Hinton Jr. longtime Scottsdale contractor who developed the first subdivision in 1949 and built the Scottsdale American Legion home in 1950 died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital at age 68. He lived with his wife Fay at 4249 E Mitchell Dr. Services Saturday at Memorial Chapel Mortuary with burial in Greenwood Mausoleum. He came from Hope Arkansas 39 years ago and was born in Opalusa Louisiana. He is survived by his wife a sister and a daughter in law. Highs near 88 today with increasing cloudiness and gusty winds.
