Federal pay hike costs Arizona family $52 a year
The United States Chamber of Commerce reports a seven percent federal employee pay rise raises federal taxes for an Arizona family of four by 52 dollars annually. An average family would pay 87 more yearly to cover retirement benefits and the deficit in the federal employee retirement fund could push a four-person Arizona family to at least 1800 dollars. The pay rise took effect in October and rose federal pay to 16201 dollars a year.
