Wounds fatal to resident PFC Hamilton in Vietnam action
PFC William Eugene Hamilton 20 son of Mr and Mrs William B Hamilton of 5025 Carhill died Friday at Clark Field Hospital in the Philippine Islands from wounds received in action in Vietnam. He served with the 1st Brigade 101st Airborne Division 502nd Infantry. Born in Grand Island Nebraska he moved to Scottsdale in 1963 and was an Arcadia High School 1985 graduate. Services set for Mesinger Mortuary at 2 p.m Thursday burial with military honors in Green Acres Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m today.

Missing Phoenix couple found after Holbrook search
In Holbrook area searchers report the Phoenix couple, Charles Hopper and his wife, located in good condition after a rented plane was spotted about 10 miles northwest of Joseph City. A deputy confirmed the Hoppers were found. Separately, Phoenix authorities report 17 youths turned over for narcotics violations in a citywide sweep.
