Larsen wins six way school board race by strong margin
Tom Larsen a Valley National Bank officer won the school board seat with 2,289 votes, carrying 16 of 17 precincts in a six candidate race. Don Kersten finished second with 1,288 votes in the Tavan district, which voted against the $13 million bond issue. Other candidates Henry Sill, Ron Petica, Forrest Hoyt, and Aaron Berkowitz trailed with 533, 355, 337, and 194 votes respectively.
