Rockets Hit Jericho In Arab-Israeli Clash
United Press International reports Arab forces fired Russian made Katyusha rockets at Jericho wounding one Arab and setting three shops ablaze near the Allenby Bridge. Israeli spokesmen said four Israeli civilians and one soldier were wounded after a three hour clash. Fighting also erupted near the Sea of Galilee. Jericho lies southwest of the Allenby Bridge on the Amman Jerusalem route, a site in the 1967 war-occupied zone. The town, usually busy with tourists, had no tourists hurt in the attack.

Lt. Col. Wilbur Crispelle, a World War I infantryman who served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital at age 73. He moved to Arizona in 1936 and lived in Scottsdale since 1962, with a Colorado birthplace. Cremation will follow services at Messinger Mortuary Thursday at 3 p.m. Survivors include his wife Virginia, son James F. of Sebastopol California, two brothers and two sisters, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
