Police continue probing a May 2025 burglary at Norm Kiener’s residence 8513 Bonita where a pistol ammunition and holster valued at 83 dollars were stolen. No other items reported missing and entry method undetermined.
Superior Court Judge Fred Hyder denied a bid to release a 1970 Plymouth Duster impounded from Darner Motor Sales in Mesa. E. Gene Wade argued the seizure violates private-property rights with six compensation. State Civil Suit alleges fraudulent sales and advertising by Darner.
Paradise Valley Town Council plans 8 p.m. Thursday meeting at Town Hall to consider converting living space at Smoke Tree Resort to accommodate The Other Place restaurant at 7101 E Lincoln Dr. Final plat approval for a subdivision and fire hydrant locations will be reviewed. Town manager Jack Phillips will report on movement of APS power poles on Sentisdale Road between Jackrabbit and Vista Drive.
The National Federation of Press Women opened its annual convention at Camelback today with more than 270 members from 29 states. The case involves Jose Valcarcel, robbed at 3219 North 67th Place, hit on the head and money stolen. Police continue to probe whether another man at the time was involved.
Judge James Mitchell ruled the death of 22 year old ASU coed at a friend's Tempe residence Saturday was from a self inflicted gunshot wound. The body was found around 6 p.m. at 8259 E Hubbell by Raymond Dellebra who said she had visited earlier in the day and remained at the home before leaving for work. A .22 caliber revolver was found near the body.
Police logged seven separate car mishaps in the last 24 hours on Scottsdale Road Osborn 4800 N Scottsdale Rd Shea Boulevard Pima Road McDowell Rd Stetson Drive 75th Street. All incidents involved two vehicles with several hit and run cases and varied times from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
