United Press International reports two weekend fires burned about 400 acres in Apache and Coronado National Forests. The Apache blaze, spotted Saturday, was likely man caused and 340 acres of Ponderosa pine burned. 475 firefighters, including 300 Indians, worked to contain it. The Coronado fire started Sunday when a Tucson driver’s overturned car sparks ignited gasoline spills, burning 45 acres before control by a 100 man crew and three air tankers amid 20 mph winds.
