City Parks and Recreation Summer Program Expands Offerings
The parks and recreation department expands this summer with paid art instructors at three schools and more than a dozen volunteers. Activities span nine schools plus Community Center and old city hall, featuring painting, sculpture, knitting, craft lessons, bridge and chess clubs, and a weekly children’s reading hour at the library. Most programs charge a small materials fee, with lessons led by professionals Ron Wyan kee and William Manderfield.
