Scottdale drug store adds modern equipment and self service, shelving, display cases, and a revamped Dyes Sian department. Owner Tart Woaobotten says renovations keep pace with growth and preserve Western hospitality.
Calapco announced purchase of two electric power plants tied to Southwest Lumber Mills in Flagstaff and McNary. The joint release lists Henry B. Sargent of Central Arizona Light & Power, J. E. Clifford II of the lumber firm, and William P. Reilly of Northern Lights Power as spokesmen. Plants run on sawmill waste fuel and boast 3,000 kilowatts in Flagstaff and 7,400 kilowatts in McNary.
Mr and Mrs James Duncan and their sons were away on a fishing trip in Northern Arizona and have recently returned home. The report notes both plants will maintain operation with roughly the same number of employees.
