Calapco Names Babcock To Lead New Development Dept

A. V. K. Babcock is named manager of Calapco Central Arizona Light and Power industrial development department. President Henry B. Sargent says the post marks the first time a company man focuses exclusively on this program. Babcock has 20 years with Calapco and since 1949 was director of budget control. He is married with two children and lives in Phoenix.

Beasleys Travel to Pasadena for Month as Alaska Trip Mounts

Mr and Mrs G H Beasley left Tuesday for Pasadena California to stay a month with their son and daughter in law Mr and Mrs G Hamilton Beasley while they visit Alaska.

Struckmeyer Seeks Re election To Maricopa Court

Fred C. Struckmeyer Jr., 38, incumbent Maricopa County Superior Court Judge, formally announced his candidacy for the office Thursday July 13. Born in Arizona, son of former judge Fred C. Struckmeyer Sr. He studied in Phoenix schools and earned a University of Arizona College of Law degree in 1936. He has practiced law in Maricopa County, served four years in World War II, and worked as special legal adviser to the county school district before his current appointment.

Lee Sexton and family return from two week Colorado trip

Lee Sexton Jim Duncan and family Walter Jennings and Mrs. J Duncan returned Friday after a two week fishing trip at the head of the Colorado river. A good time and good fishing was reported.
