Local Youth To See New Safety Picture At Sunday Program

The Methodist Youth Fellowship will show a traffic safety picture titled And Then There Were Four during Sunday night activities. Community youth are invited to attend. Midweek plans include hosting Mesa MYF for a volleyball game ending the Southside Sub-district league. Scottsdale MYFers plan to join the Arizona District MYF Retreat at Mingus Mountain camp on August 15 and 16.

Bernstein Announces Run for Maricopa Superior Court

Judge Charles C. Bernstein, presiding Juvenile Court judge, announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination to the Maricopa County Superior Court. Appointed January 3 1949 by Governor Garvey, Bernstein has lived in Phoenix since 1927 and aims to broaden juvenile crime prevention on the bench.
