Motive sought in slaying of Fred Eugene Beggs
Maricopa County sheriff deputies seek a motive for the slaying of Fred Eugene Beggs whose body was found Monday in the desert NE of Scottsdale. An autopsy shows he was shot in the back of the head and robbery is unlikely since his wallet and some cash remained with him. Beggs left home December 17 for work at Tri City Mall in Mesa and was reported missing by his wife. His car was later found in Fashion Square Shopping Center lot in Scottsdale.
