A gas leak caused a blast at 2200 N Scottsdale Rd in Tempe injuring 30 year old Carol Ann Miller and damaging a four unit building near Scottsdale Plaza Shopping Center. Miller suffered burns over 55 percent of her body and was placed in the burn unit at County Hospital. APS crews replaced a gas coupling in the alley as investigators consider the leak the cause while nearby Ginos Pizza had its gas meter shut off.
