A neatly dressed Scottsdale woman was arrested after handing a Valley National Bank official a note demanding 100,000 dollars and claiming seven men with grenades surrounded the bank. She claimed to be blackmailed and planned to meet at 2:30 pm.

Plane Crash Fatal To 81 In Elkton Maryland
A Pan American Boeing 707 en route from San Juan Puerto Rico to Philadelphia crashed in a cornfield near the Maryland Delaware line during a thunderstorm. Eighty one people perished including an 8 crew and a 48 day old infant. 71 aboard were later accounted as the total aboard the flight of 1440. The plane vanished in flames after radioing down and witnesses reported lightning and explosions as it spiraled from a hold over New Castle Delaware.

Police arrest woman in Scottsdale massage parlor case
