George Tracy and 105 volunteers led a two month campaign to re annex the east side of Scottsdale, a six square mile area with 18 700 residents. They worked from 8 30 a m to 9 30 p m six days a week and nearly reached the 500 000 goal before momentum waned. Camelback Miller Road paving ready for traffic
The last paving layer was poured on Camelback between Scottsdale and Miller and on Miller between Camelback and Indian School. The project widens East Camelback to double its existing paved width and creates an all paved Miller route from Thomas to Camelback.
