First National Bank Holds Lead in Scottsdale Businesswomen League
With one week left in the season, First National Bank remains in first place in the Scottsdale Businesswomen's Bowling League. Santa Bartell of Patio Tea Room rolled the high game and series with 188 and 500. Standings show First National Bank 43 13, MeeQ's 39 17, Patio Tea Room 30 26, Porter's 27 29, Basket House 42, and Statewide Realty 13 43.

Brownmoos School Horse Show Set For Saturday
The Twenty Third Annual Brownmoos School Horse Show will be held Saturday April 13 at the school arena. Students from the school will enter fourteen classes in both English and Western riding. Ages range from first grade through most of the school. Instructor Bil Wasbill will oversee. Public is invited with no admission charge. Show begins at 10 AM and continues into the afternoon.

Hayden Road Extension South Top Priority for Farm Bureau Roads
Scottsdale Farm Bureau road committees and County officials examined roads in the area this week to determine improvement needs. When temperatures near zero, place cardboard and newspapers between plants and windows or move plants away from sills. Severe chilling harms many plants. if damaged, keep in a cool place and trim drooping leaves. Water with tepid or room temperature, or withhold on very cold days.
Farm Bureau Roads Committee Schedules Annual Tour
The Maricopa County Farm Bureau roads committee will tour April 8 and 9 with public officials, county supervisors, and the county highway engineer to inspect rural access roads. About 30 volunteers on a chartered bus will assess needs from 183 local committees, prioritizing urgent, important, and long range projects for county consideration.
