A three act mystery comedy Behind Locked Doors staged by Scandia Community Club at the school auditorium drew a small crowd but high praise for cast and crew. Director E C Wires led Vernon Holmes Ada Jeandebeur Norma Aspegren Bobby Ewing John Nystrom Jimmy Larsen Walter Berger Ercell Lindblad. accompanist Mary West. Scandia Band led by Fred Reasoner performed before and after the play. Proceeds support the Scandia Band through summer months.

Pioneer Resident Johanna Linden Dies at 96
Mrs. Johanna Gustafva Linden longtime Scandia area resident died last Friday at age 96 years one month and 20 days. She and her husband homesteaded northwest of Scandia in 1871 and raised a family among the area’s most respected citizens. Her husband died in 1921 leaving her a widow for 45 years. A large group of relatives from Salina Concordia Denver and Republic vicinity visited and shared memories during the days surrounding her passing.
