Jewell Woman Fatally Injured in Hay Field
Alice Knocheloe of Jewell was found fatally injured by a mail carrier last week after an accident with a mower in a hay field. An attempt to transport her to Beloit hospital failed as she died en route. She was adjusting harness when the team moved, the sickle bar path injuring her severely.

Wounded burglar shot during roadside chase
