Scandia's Drama Players announce a performance at City Hall Friday evening December 20 at 8 o clock. The production titled Should a Woman Tell features a hardworking cast for an evening of entertaining drama for the public.

Town Team Tramples Formoso Five Tuesday

Scandia's town basketball squad opened the Bengo schedule Tuesday night by defeating the Formoso quintet 13 to 3 at the local high gym. The starting forwards were Ocbock and Flesher with Frazier at center and Moore and Hardtaker at defense posts. Heimerich led scoring with 9 points, with Cahill and Lorentz among other players contributing.

Highway Robbery on Road Near Jewell City

Roy Wallin a cattle buyer from Hamburg Iowa was robbed Sunday on highway 14 south of US 36 of 499 dollars by two men in a Ford V8 with no license plates. They shot through the windshield with a .38 revolver and fled after taking the money. Republic County authorities were notified.
