He held numerous boating and civic roles including International Order of Blue Gavel Oregon Federation of Boat Clubs Portland Power Squadron Hayden Island Yacht Club and Columbia River Yachting Association. Funeral September 25 at Moon Chapel Sandpoint with Pastor Orville Ground. Burial Hope Cemetery. Survived by wife Lorraine two sisters and one brother. He served in US Army Air Forces in the South Pacific and lived in Portland from 1946 until 1972.
