Idaho Supreme Court reverses ruling on parochial bus funding
The Idaho Supreme Court, in a 3-2 decision, held that using state funds to bus parochial school students is unconstitutional. The majority said such aid violates the Idaho Constitution’s ban on aid to religiously affiliated schools, despite U S Supreme Court precedents. Dissenting justices argued the law serves safety and health aims for all children.
